Early Childhood Screening
⭐️ Is your child 4 years old and has not yet had an Early Childhood screening?
⭐️ Will your child soon be between 3 years 7 months to 3 years 11 months?
⭐️ If so, it is your time to schedule your child's Early Childhood screening!
The screening will take place at either Avon or Albany Elementary and will last approximately 1 1/2 hours, during which your child will have the following:
- Hearing and Vision Screening
- Developmental Screening
- Summary Interview
This screening, offered at no cost to you, is required by the State of Minnesota.

Help Me Grow
What is Help Me Grow? (Definition taken from Help Me Grow website)
Help Me Grow provides resources for families to understand developmental milestones and learn if there are concerns. This helps families take the lead in seeking additional support or referring their child for a comprehensive, confidential screening or evaluation at no cost.
Help Me Grow is an interagency initiative of the State of Minnesota Department of Education, Department of Health and Department of Human Services. We partner with all local service agencies.

PACER Center is a parent training and information center for families of children and youth with all disabilities from birth to young adults. Located in Minneapolis, it serves families across the nation, as well as those in Minnesota. Parents can find publications, workshops, and other resources to help make decisions about education, vocational training, employment, and other services for their children with disabilities. PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center provides resources designed to benefit all students, including those with disabilities.
